I wish I couldn't have gotten the stats they showed a few minutes ago about Vikings life since Tuesday.....1 million hits on Vikings.com. Thousands of single and season tickets sold. I think they said over 5000 #4 jerseys sold.

oh and :happy: Tarvaris just threw a touchdown pass. Why the hell couldn't he do that more often last season? Then he wouldn't be on the verge of getting the ax and I wouldn't have to see 4 every Sunday. :angry:

I heard the morning guys I listen to on the radio talking stats the other morning and it was jaw dropping. They also said that the MNF game has the potential for being the highest rated MNF game ever because of the whole Brett, Viking, Packer thing

:happy: I can't wait for those two Packer games! I say the every year though, Viking Brett or not. It's just the best games of the year. I never feel the same rivalry with the Bears....certainly not the :yawn: Lions. It used to be pretty hardcore when Tampa was in our division. Never understood how they ended up in our division but I miss those 2 games each year. :(

Bonus for me - the kicker for the Chiefs is Ryan Succup, one of my favorite unfortunately named college players. He does indeed pronounce it "suck up"

Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre was replaced during the first quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs Friday, Aug. 21, by backup QB Tarvaris Jackson. Favre took part in two series, hitting just one of his four passing attempts for four yards.

The Skinny: The backup, Jackson relieved Farve and finished the first half completing 9-of-10 pass attempts for 117 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. If Minnesota gets off to a bad start, you could ultimately wind up with a divided locker room. Remember, there were some veteran Viking players very outspoken about wanting Tarvaris Jackson as their quarterback, amongst them Jared Allen. Fact is, Favre makes too many poor decisions and he doesn’t have as much zip on the fastball to compensate for his mistakes.

so the tee on the bottom left is at Target. The front says Vikings with a big ass 4on it as well. It wasn't on sale and I don't want to buy the first shirt I see or I would have gotten it. Plus I was with my mom and she made a comment about how she couldn't believe I would even look at the wall of 4 merchandise. Also, the sports stuff at Target tends to be made of cheaper material. But I'm definitely going to get one soon. Gotta show my Purple pride! :happy: I'll probably laugh hysterically the first time I wear it. :der: ARW in a Brett Favre tee shirt in definitely picture worthy :yes:
 
oh and for the record, aside from the occassional Great Pumpkin avatar for Halloween, I've had Edge in Detroit as my avatar since Oct 2005. Guess this is a week of big changes....

A co-worker was going to a bonfire/Packer game party tonight..................Everyone was bringing their Favre jerseys and they were burning them :drool:

it's just so hilarious that he's a Viking. I can't get over it. I really think I'm going to be talking about this all season long so just be prepared. :flirt: Maybe I'll get used to it after a game or two.....or 16 + post season and the big day in Miami that his majesty is supposed to lead the Purple to.

Everyone in WI is going to burn their jerseys to the point that in a few years it'll be a hot item to buy on ebay when he goes into the hall of fame as a Packer. Everyone will want that vintage GB shirt again and won't have them in their closet anymore. But someone somewhere in WI is thinking what I'm thinking and is saving there's to make loads of money.....I would if I were in the situation of WI fans.

I :heart: my new avatar and my new QB. Really, I do. I'm just thrilled to pieces that the enemy is now on my side. Sincerely. I've always wanted to support Brett and now I can.
 
this is why I need NFL network. No football games on tonight. I love to watch the Packers play so I can cheer for the other team :D:evil:

I always love those shirts that say my two favorite teams are the Vikings and whoever is playing the Packers :drool:
