Milan 1 Setlist Party

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

History - at least in the 2000's shows... They have been starting off the past few tours with and A and B setlist.

From that they see what 'feels' right and what works. They add the odd surprise here and there. And they begin introducing some new numbers that didn't make the opening week or so.

So no one should get theirselves too upset about setlists in the first few shows. (T'is my simple proposal)

The problem being a lot of folks don't really think this set list flows particularly well. And despite like and wanting to hear almost every song on it I don't think it does either. There's a big lull of slow paced, frankly minor hits which I'm sure the vast majority of the casual fans don't really care for that much.

Funny but the crowd in the Nou Camp didn't seem to notice that, nor did it come across as a big lull in the show. That said I can say it isn't half as exciting watching it on a blue screen as it is to be there. I'm sure the people in Milan are having a ball.

I wish this were possible. It's too bad this is Interference. Where the usual negative people just can't help themselves from being upset about something.

I still can't figure out how people can be so disappointed with a setlist to a concert they are not even attending.

I still can't figure out why people attend multiple shows (>2) of any given U2 tour, especially if those multiple shows are on subsequent nights.

I also can't figure out why these Setlist Parties exist? Seems like a n/a carry-over from like pearl jam and dmb boards...

He he.

People, you're wasting your time arguing over setlists.

U2's setlists are static, and they will change just about as much as they did during Vertigo.

Deal with it and spend your time on something more positive and constructive, please.

That's my advice to you.

I can't figure out what's more annoying to read: the setlist bitching or the "Hope they play acrobat tonight"

I'm sorry, but you demand different setlists, and then demand that something should be a permanent staple?

Get a clue.

I'm being realistic. And I'm not "demanding" anything, just stating an opinion.

Why are people getting so upset over somebody's opinion on this forum is beyond me.

Alot of us already knew that is was probably going to be the same set as Barca 1
