Well, I have never heard a confirmed story about Bono cheating on his wife or doing hard drugs. This is one of the reasons I really respect the man...outside of U2. With that said, I would be a fool to think one of the most famous people in the last 20-30 years (and wealthiest) hasn't cheated on his wife or done drugs. To add to that, I would be an ass to accuse a man just because he is "famous" or "rich" of doing such things because not everyone in his position cheats on their wife and does "dick head" things. So, you see my circle of logic keeps going and I always come to the following conclusion:

"Since I have never heard anything confirmed,I will give the man who sings the greatest song EVER, I still haven't found what Im looking for, the benefit of the doubt".

I hope I never hear anything to the contrary because it would be like finding out that there is no Santa clause all over again...

Confirmed as in a reputable news source (e.g. not a forum). You can say it is "confirmed" that Lindsey Lohan dated a woman or it is "confirmed" that Keith Richards has been in rehab but Bono doing drugs is a rumor. As for your last line,no, I would not take a non-reputable 3rd party testimony about another celebrity if it was from a non-reputable source. For example, I heard a few people at my job say that they heard Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith were swingers but I have yet to see that info any place/site that is reputable....so I do not consider it true (it might be but there is nothing to support it).

I've certainly heard lots of rumors bout Bono cheating, drugs etc. I guess this is just another one that I put in the "I'll keep an open mind about it" box. I wouldn't be shocked at all to discover he had drugs at some point in his life - it goes with the territory.

I'll just add that I think U2's PR machine are exceptionally great at keeping the boys saintly image nice and shiny. They do a really great job.

You are TOTALLY right. Bono would never ever do drugs - he is a saint. I also have it on good authority that his shit smells like roses.
