Of course there was going to be an old song. I can't believe people thought there wouldn't be.

I'm going to enjoy this "told you so" moment, especially since that was one hell of a good Beautiful Day.

No surprises for me, but I won't say I told you so :D I totally understand them doing the old stuff and I'll take it, cuz it was awesome! Looking forward to tonight and seeing the GMA stuff!

The one thing that I gather from them performing Beautiful Day, is that perhaps there are only 4 good songs off "No Line..." to be performed live...? Or maybe the rest of the songs hadn't been rehearsed?

U2 loves to play about 8 to 9 new songs when they put their new albums out. Look for them to begin rehearsing them more before they do them live. I got to believe they will play the following live:

No Line On The Horizon
Magnificent
Moment of Surrender
Unknown Caller
I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
Get On Your Boots
Stand Up Comedy
Breathe
Cedars Of Lebanon
Remember when they started the zoo tv tour they kicked off the show with (8) new songs from the album before doing anything older.

I'd venture to say that Beautiful Day is the signiture identifying song for casual and non diehard U2 fans. When I go to U2 concerts, I have people asking me if they will play Beautiful Day. It's really grown into a classic. I don't think you'll see it missing from any setlist.

there should be nothing inner about being PLEBAn . . . shout it out

by the way, has the final episode aired already? (its saturday evening where I live and I still can't find any links  )
I'll be shouting it out on the tour

I'm watching the final episode now, but haven't found any videos uploaded yet.

Ahh, Letterman is fangirling again :giggle:

Just finished watching Letterman. Once again, awesome performance! And was it me or was Bono trying to move like Elvis. I thought he might be trying to get some pelvis gyration going on :sexywink:

These songs are going to be awesome in concert!!! What's next? The big announcement on Monday??? :hyper:

is there an audio perv link to the Beautiful Day performance for better quality?

I got the Elvis vibe, too... and was worried he was going to break his ankle(s) trying to do the toe thing with those shoes! lol! :bono:

They were awesome all week... I hope his voice can handle the tour, as the songs are so amazing with the way he is performing them now. :applaud:

That took guts and if all the crowds were like the one at Nassau Coliseum (where I saw them) it paid off big time.

Ok, even if they *all* weren't like that, it still paid off big time.

Not to mention the O'Bama connection
