I saw the vinyl this weekend here and it looks stunning. I can't wait to get mine (should be coming this week).

I'm still doubting wether I should go back for the Vinyl. They're probably sold out by now though.

mp4, you can download the whole movie in one file, or 12 tracks/videos separately (the 12th track being 'credits' - no music)
 
My Ltd edition box set arrived this morning. I ordered it from Amazon (UK). Anyway, in the end it only cost me £19. :applaud:

UPS guy just dropped mine off five minutes ago. Ordered from Best Buy. Will unwrap it as soon as I log off here.
 
I just unpacked it :D It's HUGE!

I looked through the book, it smells good, like fresh from printing.

Very nice pictures.

And I was pleasantly surprised to find that the CD booklet is so much more beautiful than the booklet on the regular CD I bought on Friday. There are holograms with parts of the lyrics and more and nicer pictures, plus you can read all the lyrics properly which wasn't the case with the regular CD. The booklet contains images from the Linear movie.

I like my box set a lot. Only shame is that the poster has been folded and doesn't really look good if you put it on the wall like this.
 
i wonder if the digipack has the same booklet as the boxset. am i just being cheap here? should i just shell out the $65 and get the boxset?
 
The box set contains the digipak version of the album. It's the same version you'd get if you bought the digipak seperately. So individual digipak booklet = box set digipak booklet. Of course, the box set also throws in an additional hardback book plus all the other stuff.
 
If you are on the fence about the boxset... it depends how much you value:

1) folded and relatively uninspiring poster of U2 (horizon picture on reverse)
2) Hardback book containing pictures of band and interview
3) Hard copy of Linear - biggest disappointment of the box for me
4) A big box

Is the hardcover book that comes with the boxset the same as the magazine that comes with the digipak?
 
:angry: I`m really mad with Amazon UK/Royal Mail. Mine was posted first class last thursday but it still hasn`t arrived. I`m off to Africa tomorrow morning so now will not get it until probably the end of March. I`ll have to rearrange delivery of the parcel :mad:

At least I`ve bought the download of itunes so I`ve something to listen to and analyse whilst sunbathing :D
 
does anyone know if Wal-mart is carrying the Digipacks? i really would like to pick one up before work tomorrow.

Even the vinyls I have listened to on the Internet seem to have a much fuller sound then CDs.

I've just been into vinyl for just over a year. Alot of the bands I listen to always had cool vinyl releases (color vinyl, bonus tracks, 180 gram,free download) so I jumped on the vinyl express. I have nice speakers and purchased a Sony player for $50 (refurb).

Vinyl does sound fuller & gives the music a different listening experience. Its cool to see U2 put out their music on vinyl, including all the remasters. But it can be expensive. $15-$20 for a basic vinyl and up to $100 for box sets.
 
Anyone who has the box set from the UK, can you see if the dvd is listed as PAL or NTSC anywhere? My friend already told me that it's region 0, but couldn't find the format. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Wayne. :) Yeah, that's what Jem told me too, she even took a pic of the disc and PMed it to me. :lol: Is there even any such thing as a disc that's not either PAL or NTSC, though? Don't they have to be one of them? I have no idea. I checked my JT box set, and it doesn't say anything on the disc, but on the back of the box itself, it says NTSC. She checked the box though, and couldn't find anything.
