Oh, I would be so happy if they came to Brazil....

I think they did not long ago, but I discovered then recently.

yeah, i think they were in south america sometime last year. I am sure they will hit there again but probably not until late 2010 is my guess. Get on a plane and see them in Europe or the US.. You seriously will be BLOWN AWAY by seeing them live... For me they are so brilliant live that they should not be missed..

My best mate recommended I should listen to these a good few years ago. Finally borrowed a couple of albums and stuck them on my iPod to accompany me on the Vertigo Tour of Oz. I found them simply amazing and fresh.

Went to see them on their 2nd night at Wembley Stadium and that's where the love affair rely began. Given the opportunity, everyone should make a point of seeing them.

He's just 6 months old. I'd be stretching it if I said he likes either U2 or Muse. But my oldest son AJ, who is 6 years, is now singing Boots. His fav is IWF.

awww.. 6months.. :cute: I am sure his time will come when he gets the u2 sickness..LOL My son likes them too but he's 11yrs old and likes bands like Green Day, Linkin Park and Nickelback(yuk). I plan on taking him to a U2 show this tour though.. He's excited about that.

Wow.... Thanks a LOT!!!
SS KICKS ASS live... What the hell... MUSE kicks ass live!!!

Man, I think I'll get on a plane... soon! :D
Thank you really.... :applaud:

I sure hope that it's not just a rumour and that we'll finally get some new Muse goodness this September :hyper::hyper::hyper: I wonder if it will include that symphonic monster Matt keeps talking about. And even more importantly, it will mean live Muse  I'm so doing a Sydney show again.

from what I read the 2nd nite had the best setlist according to people who went and posted. That is certainly a killer first Muse show to go to though...

I went to the first night and from what I read I don't remember them being very different... maybe one or two songs?
It's very exciting to hear talk of a new album :hyper: I saw them 3 times during the last tour and it was brilliant each time, I can't wait to see what they come up with this time.

I've been a Muse fan since Absolution, but I was absolutely blown away by Black Holes. They're one of the few bands that seems to get better with every album (and Showbiz was a great album, too), so the next one should be absolutely nothing short of mindblowing.

If their next album is better than Black Holes...
Nah, I don't think they could do it. Could they? :shifty:

:D

I agree, it's great to see a band that's actually growing and improving with every album, as opposed to the "great debut --> diminishing returns" formula so many bands this decade seem to follow.

I think though that Showbiz is a very average album; Sunburn and Muscle Museum are the only real standouts and they're just ok compared to what came later. Plus Matt's vocals are too thin and boyish and overall there's just too much teenage angst for my liking

I agree with this - however I do like Showbiz, I think it's better than average, but even so it's probably my least listened to album of theirs. I think what I like best about them is I genuinely don't have a favourite album, I like each for very different reason, and I really couldn't be pushed to choose. My favourite song always varies and I rarely get sick of them... (though BlackHoles was overplayed alot on the music tv over here).

I really really hope that they do more small venues over here, I saw them at the Albert Hall which is tiny, and it was the best gig I've ever been to. Literally fantastic. I've not kept up to date with what is going on in the Muse world, which makes me more excited - I have no idea what to expect from a new album!

Roll on the new album! :hyper: :combust:

Welll... if I remember correctly the bits I've read over the last year, there's a symphonic monster, a song that sounds like Elton John, a song that sounds like Marc Bolan and apparently some early U2 influence as well. The end product might not have anything to do with the above, :D

I actually preferred their shows at the bigger venues in Melbourne and Sydney to the smaller one at Fesival Hall earlier that year. Most of the concerts I go to are at small venues, so I appreciate a band that can really put on a BIG arena rock show.

I think this band is beginning to grow on me a bit. I've only heard two records in full, Absolution and Black Holes And Revelations. The former is really strong...a bit samey after 52 minutes, but really listenable from front to back, and I love Hysteria. BHAR I'm less fond of; the album starts and ends well enough (Hoodoo doesn't get enough love), but the middle sounds like a pack of Absolution b-sides, and I can't tell you how much I hate Invincible. What a shit song. Now I need to listen to Origin Of Symmetry, from which I've only heard Citizen Erased. That one rocks, so it's off to a good start.

Here's to Muse getting their act together and releasing an album before years-end.

LM, listen most definitely to Origin of Symmetry! Great Album. New Born, Bliss, Microcuts, Screenager and Darkshines rock to name just a few. And their first album Showbiz which features great songs like Fury and Muscle Museum, sunburn, fillip and Unintended.
