skipping boots is my preferred way of listening to this album
This is my first listen where I'm skipping stuff. First on the chopping block: NLOTH.

I skipped it on my second listen.
I actually skipped it on my first listen. I've only listened to it as part of complete listening parties - a couple in here, one with Ali over AIM.
And I don't suppose you guys could take a look over my U2gigs article? I'm tired as, so some proofreading just to tell me it's coherent and doesn't miss anything big or say anything utterly stupid would be a help. U2gigs.com - U2 at the Brit Awards
Sounds fine Ax, maybe a little choppy.
I had read it before you asked Looks great, I couldn't have described the performance in such detail.
Haha, thanks both of you. Choppiness I can handle; I'm far too tired to write something elegant, especially given that the feed I watched was itself choppy! It was hard to grab at many details. I await a YouTube video ...
So he did sing the Star Spangled Banner at the Grammys? interesting.
Well, it was pre-recorded, but yeah. I'm torn on whether I should add it as a snippet or not. And that "let me in the sound" bit has got to be Fez, no?

Did you ever count 4th of July on tuf?
and you are pushing it with Fez, kiddo.
Axver, have you even been to sleep yet?
Oh, the Brits. How was it?
Oh yeah, just read your article on U2gigs.
I take it there's no video yet?
Well, I've listened plenty of times now. Still feel the same way.
The beginning is incredible, the ending is incredible, and the middle is good, but could be better. Still kinda strange how the music changes at that point. Which is weird because it still works well as a cohesive album. Yet I'm still left to wonder if they felt the album was getting a bit too atmospheric, a bit too dense, and they needed to lighten it up a bit in the middle by discarding the other two songs. Imagine if the entire album was the same as the beginning and the end.
I'm wondering if they decided to hold onto some more atmospheric stuff just because they are actually serious about this second album in late 2009 that Bono's calling "pastoral".
Because if so, and if it comes to pass, I can handle that. I can handle that very well.
(You all know I'll re-tracklist things to suit myself in the end anyway.)
i skipped it on my 2nd, then didn't, now i even deleted it from a playlist.I skipped it on my second listen.
I guess I won't skip it after some time.
