Deerhunter - Microcastle

amazing, highly recommended.

Probably my favorite of anything they've done. That said, I kinda wish they would have been a little more concise over the last 2 years and released one album of entirely fantastic songs, not 3 Deerhunter albums, an EP, and the Atlas Sound album.

Manic Street Preachers - 'Send Away the Tigers'

Of Montreal - 'Skeletal Lamping'

Not sure what I think of this, it's sort of a mess, but still somewhat enjoyable.

Listened to this after quite some time. Great album, really. So underrated! esp. here!

Listened to that one after even longer time! Core is good but not as good as Purple!

Holy shit! I haven't seen that album cover in ages!

Life is hard and so am I
you better give me something
so I don't die
Novocaine for the soul
before I sputter out

 But that's the only song I know, lol. Loved that video! It used to be on MTV all the time in 1996 or whatever.

Electro-Shock Blues, Zoots. One of the finest albums of the '90s and Eels' finest work. Check it out.

 For some reason I cannot seem to get enough of this album. Maybe it's because I'm a bit bored of overplaying Abbey Road, Magical Mystery Tour and Revolver. Maybe it's because I really really love most of the songs on the White Album and even enjoy the less impressive ones to an extent. It's such a wide and contrasting body of work with so much variety and yet it holds together well and ends perfectly on the quiet and beautiful Good Night right after the fantastic chaos of Revolution 9. I'm sure that has a lot to do with why I'm loving this album so much right now! And I'm sure it's gonna make it pretty damn high on my Top 50 list.
