After chewing out the media after her discus failure, the poor diddums wants to leave the Games early rather than wait for the free chartered flight next week, and she's pissed off that she'll have to pay for it herself.

Oh god.

How about shut the fuck up and explore Beijing? I'd be quite happy fly free to Beijing, hurl a discus a little distance and explore for a while.

We'll have to be well-organised this time, with good servers arranged and sources all nicely lined and up and things.

It would be nice if we could sort out some arrangement to get exellent audio quality, I dunno, something with a good microphone. I think I might be dreaming too far into the future though

Yeah, boo fucking hoo, enjoy the free ride. She needs to stop making a spectacle of herself in the media. Especially after how utterly pathetic her discus performance was. She's now just a has-been. Valerie Vili's taken her title as the Kiwi star of the field.

sorry, this asshole on backstreets is ALWAYS complaining about Bruce's setlists! He says they're static! WTF!!!!!!! anyways, he said he couldn't wait for U2 to start touring, so then the 5 or so of us in the know have now countered with the fact that if he can't stand Springsteen live, he's going to have an aneurysm at a U2 show.

With phone technology increasingly improving, you never know your luck! I'm optimistic we'll be able to pull off some cool stuff this coming tour.

Serena will have to get decent Internet so she can listen in too.

yeaaaaaaaaaaaheaaahh Khans a freak....of nature........*duna duna dun dun dunna*

I can tolerate it. I just seriously hate it when people smack their lips or swallow excessively loud.
me too, and said person is smacking their lips  and they're crunching really loudly on chips, but i don't know how someone could NOT do that loudly. everyone bothers me when they eat chips.

I'd take Bruce's "static" sets over u2's anyday!

Speaking of the set, where are we up to now?

HOW THE FUCK ARE SPRINGSTEEN'S SETLISTS STATIC?

I do hope you slapped him down with the stat that Springsteen's done 131 songs in 100 shows, while on U2's last tour, they did 60 songs (and that's being generous) over 132 shows.

Hell, on Lovetown, 47 shows, just 38 songs total. And 2 of those (The Times They Are A-Changin' and White Christmas) are being generous too.

lol that was my argument! And I was saying that the most extreme U2 ever got was lovetown and that was only one leg

Then I had to correct myself :grumpy:

Ax, is there any particular reason they played Vertigo twice at a few shows?

Ostensibly it was harking back to their early days when they'd do 11 O'clock Tick Tock, The Ocean, and/or I Will Follow twice to flesh out their setlists.

They did it at almost every European show too. :|

Guuuuuuuurls In Their Summer Clothes!

 Still dizzy. Starting to not feel so great about it...

Lovetown was really more extreme in the way the setlist order was unpredictable. It was definitely their most diverse tour of the eighties in terms of song selection too. The JT Tour had more songs total, but Lovetown had more original songs - JT gets ahead on the basis of sporadic covers.
