Where is Peter? We could use some new updates from people with "feet on the scene".

It's only 1pm in Vancouver. I'm sure the band members are still in bed!

I took the weekend off to have a real life.

Bono's been making the rounds downtown at night. Still no fan interaction around the rehearsals.

Bono must have died his hair in the past 10 days while in Vancouver. Not wild on the Zach Morris look

Good points, U2 FanPeter.. you're not getting paid to do this lol.

I am gonna swing by the Coliseum on thursday as I'll be in the area.

Have heard reliable rumours of dress rehearsal(s) in a couple weeks (besides the one advertised for radio competitions).

I had a dream that i was meandering around a large parking lot of abandoned vehicles, all shapes and sizes and types. Some of them were broken down, some were brand new. The place was fairly deserted except for a few people standing out and looking up at the bronze sky. I couldn't be bothered with them or the radioactive dust. I kept moving and kept my glasses close to my eyes.

I came upon a trailer with a camper, after tugging on the door the old camper opened up and i climbed aboard to the surprise of my cousin and some girl he was getting really fresh with.

Stunned, i started to leave the trailer but my cousin told me to wait. The girl he was with then asked me if i had seen her pussy. I was like, um, no i had not but i would be happy too if cousin didn't mind. Cousin gave me a sarcastic look and then reminded me that she was talking about her cat, Pussy, who was running around the large parking area.

Oh i see, i realize thats what i was doing as well, looking for my pussy. I can't remember his name, just a big orange fluffy mess with a taste for rats and mice and whatever he can get his paws on. So cousin and i decide to go find our pussies, off we go into the large parking lot, looking under things, around places, behind shit, etc. Here Pussy Pussy, we called out, to everyone but noone all at once.

Finally i heard a rumbling behind a small shack of sorts, and we closed in on this giant beast of a cat, i believe it was a mountain lion. It growled at me. Actually it roared at me. I coaxed the beast to follow me back to the trailer and opened the door and let him inside. I heard the poor girl scream and the big lion roared. I guess that wasn't her pussy afterall.

Finally after some more roaming i found a pretty little tabby colored cat who looked familiar. I grabbed him up and took him over to my fire truck and opened up the door. He climbed up in the big seat and looked out the window as i closed the door. He meowed at me as i walked back to cousin to try and bum some weed.

That last picture of Bono reminded me of my dream, his hair looks like a skunk, minus the white stripes. From the Queen of England to the hounds of hell. I think that is all.

Maybe, but I doubt it. Probably a logistical nightmare to coordinate.
Invites probably extended to members of charity groups etc. through their coordinators.

In the past they've also sometimes let in fans loitering outside the venue. That's how a bunch of Interferencers got into the pre-Vertigo rehearsal on 26 March 2005.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Barcelona was way different how they did rehearsals and allowed fans. The night before they flew in their friends for the last rehearsal. They did allow a selected number of fans but they warned them if they go in their pockets or attempt to record the rehearsal they will be asked to leave immediately. Vertigo 2005 and Barcelona 2009 were way different.

I'm sure they concentrate very very hard on preparing for the tour right now, especially Bono who also has to deal with overcoming a serious and very complex injury. I'm sure he has to have a lot of training and PT besides rehearsals, meetings, organizing stuff. So I can see why he wants to keep a low profile and save his energy. But I still wonder if they will have some sort of appearance or media interaction before the tour like interviews with local newspapers, magazines or TV. I don't really see the band remaining totally quiet before the actual tour opener, there must be something happening, but i guess we won't know before, let's say, a week in advance.

I'd be very surprised if the odd/even nights were radically different from one another, to the tune of 5-6 different old ones and a couple of new. I'm HOPING for BIG differences, having forked out for London 3 & 4; the ideal scenario therefore would be seeing all the new stuff over 2 nights (10 per night), 7 or 8 biggest and most obvious "hits" repeated on both nights, and 5 or 6 "deep cuts" - different on EACH NIGHT.

Would be v. surprised if this happens, mind, especially as most experimenting will be long done with by the time they get to London. I'd be happy with whatever, I expect, as long as I get to see WOWY & Streets at least once that will be good enough*.

(Play "Promenade" though eh lads)

I got into the Police "fanclub" show here in 2007. I think I just but an extra ticket from a Best Buy employee for $50. I'm getting in with $50+ in hand won't be an issue.

They could also just let fans that already have tickets for the Vancouver shows.

Frankly the 3,000 for the Police fan club show and the 5,000 for the COBL filming here both felt really empty. At the end of the COBL shoot only about 1,000 fans were left by 11:30 at night on a weekday.

Talked to a fan that confirmed that Follow/Sunday had been played the week before. Do I need to make a running list of keep a daily tab running? Sat/Sun was quiet - probably when the muscle get practice putting things in/out boxes/trucks/venue ceiling. Otherwise Edge would make Dallas work 100+ hours a week.

BAD had 3 "Wide Awakes" in full voice, couple mid song woos, Norwegian Wood/Ruby Tuesday tags. Bono going about 80% effort for this rehearsal. Couple hours later than ran thru it again with no tags Bono only doing a single "Wide Awake".

EVEN BETTER is not the 2011 mix. "You Take Me Higher" was full voice.

DESIRE is Edge on electric with some Adam/Larry. Full guitar solo and Not Fade Away tag.

PRIDE is sung a full step down. No tag this time.

EVERY BREAKING WAVE tonight was low key Bono voice/Edge keys version. Big hole left for string section. A full band version was done last week - perfect for the double vertigo treatment

WOWY was done with full head voice in the high bits. Lots of space for possible string. A "birdie" told us 5 songs will have strings.

I have a full page of notes including a couple jaw droppers that I will ration out this week. I also have new info about the screen.
#U2Request Results 2015
They have now done 9 songs from this list. None in the top 10, but looks like anyone reading this thread and seeing a handful of shows can add upwards 15 unique songs to their lifetime U2 concert checklists including the new SOI album.
