Yahoo messenger help

Assuming I am chatting with sara. My display name in the chatting window is modified from AcrobatMan to ddddddddd

My yahoo chat window
--------------------------
sara: test1
ddddddddd : no
sara: test2
ddddddddd : test

Whereas in sara's chat window its ( all perfect)
--------------------------------------------
sara: test1
AcrobatMan : no
sara: test2
AcrobatMan : test

Apparently I had kept yahoo messenger open in some group computer..and someone has done this...I dont know how to modify it...I have checked my name in profile and its same as AcrobatMan

How can i change back my display name in my yahoo chat window from ddddddddd to AcrobatMan

did you try and go to 'my contact details' and change/update anything. If you are still around after 11:00pm, maybe I can try and IM with you if you want... ?

hey i was scratching my head for 2 hours...and didnt get .


but i got why it happened...

someone ( surely a bastard) added my name in my own messenger list and put a display name of dddddddddd.

but that name didnt come up in the friend's list....

and only in

VIEW-> ADDRESSBOOK...

once I delete my own contact..all was ok
