Stupid question, but how'd you open the damn things. I keep getting a notice coming up; Unable to open this file etc...

Is there a programme I can download which'll help?

Yes, you need a torrent client, like Azureus, or BitTorrent. There's a guide in the Audio/Video forum written by one of the members that may help you out if you're new to torrents.
