Deep, my only question with your guess is Richmond's car being used.
at this point, the girl may have had some sort of nefarious double life.

she could be working the casino, as a call girl.

the guy grabbed a random car out of the parking lot, could have gotten it from the valet

Early on, the car was reported stolen and those cars were said to have been parked all over the place, right? I thought I remembered that.

I thought it was the dad's friend too, the racism in the first episode (calling the shopkeeper "Osama") seemed almost arbitrarily thrown in there. Like they wanted the justification (like a Chekov's gun) inserted in early. But alas...so far they've been pretty clever. Which leads me to think the final reveal is going to swim like a bag of bricks.

I think it's Rosie's friend. The chick.
Why? I don't know. Ass pull.

We haven't seen her or the skeevy boy she used to date for weeks now. I don't think it's either of them.

I think I'd much rather be prone for a 'Katherine Martin in a well' scenario than dumping her in a car trunk.

That's basically the reason I picked her.
Motive apparent early...and then they string viewers along for a dozen episodes and then BAM!

I just don't buy any of the more prime candidates at the moment.
Besides Leoben from BSG (the redhead cop's boyfriend).

ETA-
What is the motive? I don't really know but did they really explore the rift/fight that she and Rosie had? I don't remember.

Seems like a decent trick to have the two scumbag kids that were nailing the girl in the mask and her friend all 'dismissed' early only to come back and say 'you didn't look closely enough'.
Of course, I am probably wrong. I did say it was an ass pull.

NSW, you'll be happy to know, I am still exploring the Israeli-Palestinian metaphorical undercurrent in The Killing. Politically insightful.

I am glad you told me but to be honest, I kind of just took that for granted.

Rosie's friend isn't a bad call. The fact that we met her but haven't seen her lately makes it a good choice.

I guess we'll find out soon.

Oh, and, wouldn't it be funny if the Killing had a short, peppy little theme song at the beginning?

Someone's dead
In the Emerald City

It's raining tears
Things aren't looking pretty

The Mayor's a dick
His policies are shitty

Linden's relationship is over
What a pity

......The Killing!

I'm hearing the theme song from that cheesy 80s show "It's a Living" at the end.

"Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii'ts thhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee KILLING!"

Hopefully Shuttlecock will see this show before finishing their next project.

How can they expect to remain relevant if they're not going to keep up with this kind of fresh thinking vis-a-vis our current socio-economic climate?

For some reason, I hear Richard Cheese singing this.

(which is essentially Bill Murray's lounge singer doing Star Wars)

Well, we all know Ronald Moore cracked the code and all solved all the world's problems when he said "God did it!" on BSG. Which can only mean that Jeremy Irons' Long Lost Son has a Six really trapped in his head.

But yeah, if Boner can somehow tap into The Killing and find some inspiration, then maybe they can actually remain relevant by having 'God walk through the room'...only God won't be walking through the room. He'll send an Angel in his place and she'll be some blonde-aggro-chick who is actually screwing redheaded Mormon Lady's boyfriend. And Boner will see this story as "extraordinary" and it will inspire him to pen his sixth unfinished current project that will eventually morph into a musical about Fraggle Rock. Produced and Directed by Boner's 'spiritual companion', Jacob, who is actually an ageless man who was given the special sauce near the cave by that lady from the West Wing.

And the political side-plot is actually an non-linear afterlife construct. And Richmond will wander into a church and find his dead father and find out that he's been dead all along. He'll get over his 'daddy issues' and finally be able to 'move on' and 'let go'. Then, redhead Mormon Lady will be killed in the 'real reality' and she'll end up in the Political Sideways Afterlife. Richmond then gets to remember nailing Mormon Lady (Richmond is somehow the father of her kid), although in the Political Sideways Afterlife, Richmond has somehow made Mormon Lady to actually looks like this:

Not that there is anything wrong with Mormon Lady, but she's no Kate.

And unfortunately Boner will see this is all as a metaphor for Africa.
While it is obviously supposed to be a metaphor for Israeli-Palestine relations.
So they'll screw up and it will be seen as a 'flop' by members of the band.
Boner will then spend the next several years apologizing on behalf of the Cock.
When we all know it was always Larry's idea to use a procedural crime drama TV show as inspiration, when they should have used BSG like The Man said.

Meanwhile...all of this was just an excuse to post a pic of Evangeline Lilly.
