I am still amazed that such a concept actually got made. At no point no one looked at everyone pitching this and said, "No. This is the stupidest idea I've ever heard. No."? Seriously?

I'm sure everyone thought that, but it came from Steven Bochco, and at that time, the networks would have aired anything that cat came up with.

It's definitely a gift that keeps on giving.
