I don't think the risks associated with LSD or mushrooms make that road of spiritual exploration very attractive but people like shortcuts and paths of least resistence and chewing shrooms is more accessible than climbing mountains in Tibet.

If anything this is worth it as we start seeing belivers seperate "artificial" from genuine "mystical" experiences while the evidence is showing that it is all coming from within the mind.

shrooms are just shrooms. nothing that fucking special about it. drugs are not going to lead me to love or deep, original spiritual experiences. they can enhance a certain view, they can open up, they can relax, they can make you talk with your brain, but in the end it´s just drugs anyway.
