How do you disarm an ataomic bomb?

Well? Clearly this is the place to discuss it. What is your solution?

Seriously....Tell me what you think? The band is sending a message with the title...what is it?

And please try and keep your answers NON-Partisan. I believe it is a NON Partisan issue.

Well the the boosted-fission nuclear bomb is initiated by a very specific explosion combined with the introduction of tritium and deuterium to give extra neutrons, the best way to defuse it would be to neutralize the charges.

How to Defuse an Atomic Bomb.

As a political statement - how can we prevent disaster in the world, even when it is going to hell allready.

As a personal statement (thinking about the "Atomic Bob" reference) - how to approach people, tough social situations. Dealing with that type of thing.

I dont like to read to much into any vague things, it seems that you project more of yourself into it than you find the intention of the artist, but I supose thats the same with almost everything.

Great to see you back in semi-retirement mode Dread, especially after a rather unpleasant thread

ja.

this isn't a criticism btw, more an observation how yank orientated this place is. i'd like to see it more global, especially as i reckon only half this place is american, the other half are from everywhere else.

hmm. anyway.

I think Dread mainly means to keep presidential politics the hell out of this thread. I'll be glad to oblige. The signing of non-proliferation treaties and peace treaties with allies will cut down on the risk of having to use bombs. Maybe they could be U.N. resolutions.

I think it could be a message that you can't just not use atomic bombs--you actually have to take them apart.

I'm not sure if my english is good enough to see the difference between disarming and dismantling but from my point of view to dismantle means to "un-build".
So the message could be "How to stop the escalation" or even more how to de-escalate.

Disarm would be more along the lines of deactivate, turning the bomb off.

Dismantling is as you said "un-building", taking it apart piece by piece.

Your English is much better than my German

I think it's a turn that humanity has taken that can't be undone.

But to be idealistic...the answer would be love.

Yeah, the most powerful, but also the most elusive, way would be to change alot of attitudes. It's unfortunate that this is too idealistic.

Nothing wrong with a bit of idealism, love conquers all - except for the maniac with an atomic bomb

Short term solution - bunker busters

Long term solution - love
