what is the name of the book and
where can i get it

That's probably the book you're thinking of, but beware! While it's an interesting book, it is far from any "official" line on what each songs mean. It's one man's [the author's] opinion. And he's not always right on. Just keep it in mind.

It's a pretty interesting book, but I would have rather had perspective from the guys themselves rather than Lanois and the like. It's more of their view of what they think the songs mean more than anything else.

SO many people can interpret songs so many ways. Each song means something different to all of us. Unless the band members openly say it, I don't buy anyone else's opinion.
Maybe it's more fun to sit and speculate ourselves.
