its because of u2 and the wanderer that i have become a huge johnny cash fan. i really want to hear a version of the song with bono on vocals.

You'll hear it in a couple of days... probably.
U2 recorded the song on a LA soundcheck prior to the November 2nd show and it will (I hope) be aired on the Johnny Cash special.
