Yes yes yes. I think a WOWY performance should be on the list too, maybe 1989-12-30 Dublin, or 1987-07-04 Paris, or 1987-04-25 Daly City (I've been playing the JEMS audio DVD of this constantly, great stuff).

-New Year's Day and SBS from the War tour.

In a Lifetime (especially the parts where he jumps from full voice to falsetto)

With or Without You (studio version, Rattle and Hum movie version or Rock's Hottest Ticket version, take your pick)

Bad (too many live versions to choose from!)

Night and Day (either the studio version or MusicCares - both are great)

All I Want Is You (particularly the end)

The opera part from Miss Sarajevo (Milan II)

Tomorrow (early raw, emotional Bono vocal)

In a Little While (sounding imperfect to perfect effect)

Pride

Looking at this list I'm highly encouraged that he has had some shining moments in recent years.

Studio:

Bad, the chorus (he never soared like that again)
Heartland, again, the chorus (nice mix of falsetto and high notes)
One tree hill, the ending (listen to him pouring his heart out)
Playboy mansion, the "then will there be no..." falsetto (probably my favourite use of falsetto voice)
In a little while (all of it, really - Bono does soul)

I'd just like to emphasize the insanity of one of the greatest versions of ISHFWILF performed on 12-4-2006- Actually I can't think of a better ISHFWILF performance right now haha...it's absolutely brilliant

aside from that show, the Point Depot 12-26-1989 show comes to mind. Also, I haven't seen the Fire in Jersey performance of Bad mentioned yet- the bootleg from U2start has a sound problem but regardless, it's easily one of the greatest performances of Bad IMO

yes! it is! wow I've never seen any video of that performance I don't think :hmm:

Thanks very much :D

Oh I love it when people try to really sing the song with Bono haha, it taints the recording but it is actually quite funny

Oh wow, when he starts the "I believe in the kingdom..." line- so beautiful I don't even know what to say....I suggest you get the bootleg version though, the audience version, not the IEM
