Pete the Chop was a bloke who came up to the young members of u2 and asked "hey could you guys write a song about me?", and so they did.
I was just wondering if anyone knows any background information regarding who pete the chop was and why was he called pete the chop.
and Whatever happened to pete the chop?
not the song, i mean the guy.
He must feel pretty damn proud to have a u2 song named after him, i know i would.
nevertheless its a damn fine song and im sure it wouldnt have "buried the band" if it was released as a single.
