I think the beginning guitar sounds a lot like Native Son. Anyone else or am I just insane?

I assume you're talking about the pitch-shifting bit? In Love You Like Mad, the pitch is shifting down. In Native Son, it's shifting up. I kind of see the resemblance, but it is pretty vague.
