I'm so confused as to which song was U2's first single...I Will Follow, 11 O'Clock Tick Tock or uh, damn, there's one more I can't remember.

Anyhoo, which one is it, really?

In Dallas on the 3rd leg, Bono said it was Out of Control. I guess I'll take his word for it.

"See, the rock star gets his way! Thank you very much. This feels very Elvis. Thank you."

Bono used to say, very often , during 3rd leg elevation shows - OUT Of Control : " this is our first single " , maybe first single in U.S. , anyway i just like this song

U23 was U2's first commercial release, it had 3 songs but they selected Out of Control as the A-Side.. making it in a sense their first single.

11 O'Clock Tick Tock was their third single, but the first to be released outside of Ireland... in the UK on Island Records

I Will Follow was actually their fifth single, but the first to be released in North America
