I'm going to give my 1990s opinion when I get home from work tonight.

Luminous Times, I enjoy on it's own but for me it is too UF like to belong on The Tree other than that I like your ideas

the tree sunrises :lmao:

i really like this list though.

i especially think rattle and hum should've separated everything onto a studio disc and a live disc. it's already two discs so what's it hurting?

Yes, I have a ridiculous amount of time on my hands. I give to you all: U2's history, completely rewritten.

How does the lack of vocals make or break whether you can tell apart songs? I'm sure you can tell apart COBL and ABOY even though COBL has an instrumental outro and ABOY has an instrumental intro. In fact, coming to think of it, just about every song doesn't have vocals right at the start or end and we all tell them apart just fine!

However will you survive?

Here, have a new cardboard box. Take it to remind yourself of me.

That was one slightly concerning exchange.....:|

As for not telling songs apart with or without vocals, a bunch of instrumentals on an album would be fine if they were fully formed pieces of music, but U2's 80's instrumentals are "bits". Bass Trap is a bit of bass doodling with some keyboard-y things that tootles a bit and goes nowhere. Fine as an interlude on an album but do I want to hear a whole bunch of them? Together? :yuck:

Did I just hear someone insult the serene beauty of Bass Trap?
