My 2002 Kia Sportage got recalled because of a problem with the engine fan, so I made an appointment to take it to the dealer this morning to have the fan replaced. Got there and they told me that they had so many of them being brought in, they'd run out of parts yesterday afternoon. I allowed as how it would have been nice if they'd called and let me know before I went there this morning, making me late for work.

Rescheduled for next week, but I've learned a lesson: call the day before to make sure they have the parts in stock.
