I thought we could organize a list of the releases this year since we all keep commenting on how great a year it is for music. I made a list of albums I'll likely get. (It's scary long, but a good scary.) Feel free to add what you like. (Forgive me if there's already such a thread.)

Arcade Fire/Neon Bible/March 5
Modest Mouse/We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank/March 20
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club/Baby 81/May 1
Bjork/Volta/May 7
Wilco/Sky Blue Sky/May 15
Smashing Pumpkins/Zeitgeist/July 7
White Stripes/Icky Thump/???

Already released:
The Shins/Wincing the Night Away

To be honest i like only Bjork from that list , and speaking of smashing pumpkins , it's not the original lineup , am i right ?

you do know that a band representative already proved that date to be false .....right?:hmm:

:shh:

they're just trying to cover their asses, if the unlikely thing should happen that they would have to release it august 7 instead.

Kaiser Chiefs
Stereophonics

I was just listening to Kaiser Chiefs' new single "Ruby", it's a good fun pop song.

:down:x infinity for Arctic Monkeys / the British Nickelback.

Mimesis -- Art Imitating Life (April 2)

Ok, no one but me is gonna be excited about this, but what the hell. I have to keep my post count up somehow.

I'm probably alone on these ones, but I'm also looking forward to

Duran Duran
Erasure
Linkin Park

All out in May I think

Also crossing my fingers for new R.E.M. or U2 by the end of '07.
