Jimi

Also a good posthumous work... a compilation of his live and studio workings called Voodoo Child. Came out about 2 years ago. Great stuff.

... well, are you experienced?

Is Hey Joe on that?

I am not well versed, but I do very much appreciate Jimi's music.

I've got the 'Ultimate Experience' compilation.

It's pretty much flawless in my eyes and in my ears.

I'm off to find some 'Foxy Lady's'

Pub, welcome to the club.
IIRC, Are You Experienced? has just been voted best guitar album ever. Don't know by which magazine though...
The current reissues with the three early singles (Hey Joe, Purple Haze, The Wind Cries Mary) and its B-sides in addition to the full album are great.

Yep, everyone should own that one.
And Axis: Bold As Love...
And Electric Ladyland...

C ya!

Marty

My dad used to have that album. I grew up with it, and wish I still had it. Unfortunately, he gave away/sold off all his vinyl about 2 years ago.

I respect Jimi Hendrix's talent and achievements. But his guitar playing is really not my cup of tea. It gives me quite a headache.

A reaction of any sort is better than indifference.
