it's a crap shoot.

Well the thing with the Cardinals was how injured they were through the season, their play off team was a lot stronger than that result would suggest.

have ya seen the pitching staff they used to win the world series last year?

that team was not strong... they were hot at the right time. sometimes that's all it takes.

Pitching wise maybe not, but they were a stronger team than the 07 Cubs, a burnt out Tigers team as their opponent didn't hurt either.

meh, all games are going to do that to me.

Think I can use that as an excuse?

"But sir, it's October! There's only one October! Dane said so himself!"

I'm really ticked that the Cubs game doesn't start until 10:00 p.m. here. *Some* of us have to get up and go to work the next morning.

Well, they're playing in Arizona, and, those fans deserve to be able to see their team. If they played earlier, they'd all be at work. At least the Cubs are in, enjoy it and stay up late a night or two, it won't kill you.

Back when I was living in Boston, the 2004 ALCS Games 4 and 5 killed me, and they allegedly started at 8 pm and 5 pm respectively.

Well, I'm gonna call my shot. I think the Indians beat the Yankees in 4. I know the Yankees are the bookies favorite to win it all, but pitching wins and CC and Carmona are hot right now ...
