Your location used to be a melbourne tram headed for wellington yes? Well when I see your location still has that tram, it makes me think that Helengrad has replaced Wellington and thaty ou still can't get there..

Ah, then perhaps I should explain. The more hysterical critics of Helen Clark's government try to paint her as authoritarian, nanny statist, socialist, etc. (Like hell! If she were socialist, I'd like her more!) Accordingly, since Wellington is the seat of government, they've nicknamed it Helengrad. And her Comrade Helen or Aunty Helen.

But yeah, recently I've made better use of the location field. In order:

- A Melbourne tram bound for Wellington
- A Melbourne tram bound for Wellington via Little San Francisco
- A Melbourne tram bound for Wellington, carrying soddin' mountain goats
- A Melbourne tram full of unpopular U2 opinions bound for Wellington
- A Melbourne tram bound for the Anti-Nebraska Party convention in Wellington
- A Melbourne tram bound for Helengrad

i have no idea why i have this:

Woah, it's Kim! :hyper:

I just KNEW that by slamming National in the original post, I was somehow sending up a Kim Signal of some bizarre description.

The Burgermeister's Daughter

Defying sixteenth-century social mores, Anna Buschler was a frequent subject of gossip because of her garish dress and flirtatious behavior. When her powerful father, the burgermeister of the imperial German city of Schwabisch Hall and a local hero, caugt her in secret, simultaneous love affairs with two men - one a member of royalty, the other a cavalryman - he banishd her. In this haunting story, Steven Ozment, a professor of history at Harvard Unversity and an award-winning author, examines the brutal legal battle that ensued.

Tell me this does not ssound like the introduction to a romance novel!

It sounds like inconsequential cultural history that we discussed at length in Historical Theory & Research earlier this semester.

... says the socio-cultural historian.

The Harvard part just makes me think Cornelious bear wrote it.

:lmao:

:lmao:

So, you were missing me? :flirt:

How the heck is everyone?!??!

Yes. STOP HAVING A LIFE.

I'm alright. Can't wait for the 21st of this month, then university's done for the year.

:lmao:

This class is Early Modern European Popular Culture, so I'm to learn about the little man, mostly through case studies and fun little texts like this.

And to explain the Cornelius comment, he writes books for Harlequin Romance (in like a day) when he needs cash.
