I didn't know who U2 was either...I was like 11 and pouting about something stupid and at the part with the scrolling names my dad was like "shut up and just be happy your name isn't on that list."



i don't think my dad likes U2 though, he thinks Bono is overmarketed and fake

My start is a little more worthy than yours. It all started on a whim really, I picked up a copy of Achtung Baby at a library that I used to go to (Back in the day where I use to GO to libraries) in May of 1998....I don't remember listening to them at first....but I do remember bringing the booklet to my Jr. Hight School Graduation dance But I do have a diary entry in June of 1998 stating my love of U2 at that time.....and since then....I've been a fan ever since.

I'd probably use a different word instead of 'fake' though... I don't think i'd go quite that far.

It's like I always say to people - i'm a fan of U2 as a band. Not Bono.

I think they are concerned that you might get into trouble if you went to a concert by yourself.

I mean....the first time I went to one by myself was the 9/20 Vertigo concert...but not because my parents were concern....but they didn't want to go (My parents went with me on the two Elevation shows and the 5/10 Vertigo show....which became a part of of the DVD)

^No, I meant they didn't want me to go even if I went with one of them They're very protective of me I would never want to go to a concert by myself because I would be way to scared I had this amazing spot right on the rail of the outside of the ellipse and then I went to the bathroom and when I was trying to get back, I couldn't see my dad and all these people were yelling at me and pushing me I eventually started crying That got me back to my dad
