SPACE MOON: THE BEGINNING

This is a retrospective concept album about the early beginnings of Space Moon.

Side One - Space Moon was discovered by mankind, and its potential as a place to
rock the fuck out on was immediately recognised. "Let's go! Let's go!" Super
massive black holes provided the only means of transportation to and from Space
Moon at that time, and some were less than enthusiastic about this. These people
decided to rock the fuck out on earth instead. They were rocking the fuck out,
and that was all that mattered, right? But not for long...

Side Two - The lure of Space Moon was too strong. People began looking to the
sky more often. Some wondered what it would be like to go to Space Moon and had
fantasies about how incredible it would be to rock the fuck out there.
Eventually, an intergalactic boat was constructed (along with an intergalactic
bubble balloon) and the first colonists landed on Space Moon. They rocked the
fuck out, and it was good. Everything they had previously touched, seen,
tasted, felt, loved, hated, distrusted, saved, gave, dealt, bought, begged,
borrowed, stolen, created, destroyed, done, said, eaten, met, slighted and
fought was eclipsed by the glory of the Space Moon.

There is no dark side on the Space Moon, really.

BonoManic:

My focus on this playlist was to demonstrate my musical growth, which is the
major reason I did not include a U2 track. Many of the bands on this list had
new albums in the past year and a half, and thanks to Interference I was able to
discover them. Once I had digested the new material, I immersed myself in their
back-catalogues and discovered some fantastic music. This would never have been
possible without Interference, and for that I am forever grateful.

The first 5 songs follow the story of a guy who has a breakdown, commits a horrible crime, realizes what he's done and that he's trapped, decides to commit suicide, and then gets to the afterlife. The second 5 songs are all instrumental.

^I know, I e-mailed her about it. And I know her link to music isn't working either or Oneblood's link. I PM Oneblood too.

All very good playlists. I am going to vote tomorrow after I listen some more. :)

So, please vote and say why you picked who you picked. So far G.G. is winning with 3 votes!

I voted. Why do we still have more participants than votes? That should not be.

The first Space Moonites, referred to above by GG (amazing cover art, FYI) fought long and hard for us to have the right to vote.

So, won't you please vote?

GibsonGirl gets my vote for the pure victory that was her playlist.

But I will say this: it was close.

I liked GG's and BoMac's a lot, but at the end of the day, I liked BoMac's a tad better....if I listened to these two in a month, it could have come out the other way. I'm just glad we're Space Mooning it.

in all honesty, GibsonGirl's definitely has the most songs that I know and love - especially Rage, White Stripes, Bloc, U2 obviously... fantastic playlist

but, im voting for onebloodonelife because it was the most gutsy i feel, with all the instrumental music, and it exposed me to a lot of cool stuff I'd never heard before.

All three were great though, and each definitely had a distinct feel. Space Moon is awesome

Agreed. Tough competition all the way through, but the beauty of Space Moon™ is that we're all winners in the end because there's a lot of great songs on everyone's playlists that are there to be discovered and appreciated.

And thanks NSW for your kind words.

I went with BonoManic! I love them all but I liked almost all of his song choices! He exposed me to a lot of new songs. I loved the songs from Killers, Stars, Band of Horses, Coldplay, and Arcade Fire. I thought it flowed well too. I wasn't too crazy about the Bloc Party, Smashing Pumpkins, or Snow Patrol songs though. Awesome job!

I thought GibsonGirl's list was amazing too. She had a great concept album. I could feel in the first half that people were rocking the fucking out on Earth. In the second half people were looking for a habitat to rock the fuck out- so what would better than Space Moon? I loved the songs on the first half, the RCHP, White Stripes, RATM, Bloc Party, U2, and Muse. But I didn't like the second half as much. Really good job, though! ;)

I thought Onebloodonelife did very well too! Good concept too! Pain on Earth, then Heaven, right? I loved the Muse, Plus and Minus, Flaming Lips, and Fire Theft songs. I wasn't too fond of the instrumental songs. But I thought Oneblood had the most unique playlist and concept album. Great job! :)

Great job, Onebood and BonoManic. But I'm sorry only two move on to the next round. So Oneblood thanks for your really good playlist but you can rock on the Space Moon with us! Grab something to drink and put your feet up and relax. :)

Thanks for the vote! :) That's really what I was trying to do, put out a list of songs that I love, but I knew a lot of people probably hadn't heard before.
