So who's gone to see Harry Potter?

I'm not afraid to admit that I went, and in fact LOVED the movie. I had only read about 2 chapters in the book, being preoccupied with other reading, but after the movie I actually came home and read the other 15 chapters, as well as ordered the second book.

Just as a warning to those who decided to go, the movie does last 2 hours and 30 minutes, but it flies by. Although a few minor scenes are altered, it remains fairly faithful to the book. And the quidditch scene kicks so much ass.

I am a huuuuuuuuge Harry Potter fan and a big stickler for movies being close to the book. I thought that this movie couldn't have been done better.... sure i was a little disappointed at the altered scenes, but the movie is 2 1/2 hours long... As for the visual element of the movie, it couldn't have been better. Absolutely everything was just as I had imagined it. Two thumbs up.
