Is anyone out there a Ric Burns fan???
He's Ken Burns brother and worked with Ken on the PBS series "The Civil War". He's done numerous documentaries for PBS - among the best are "Coney Island" and "The Donner Party". I would highly recommend these two films, especially for fans of documentaries. Check 'em out if you can.

Hi,

I thought it was brother Ken who did the one on the Donner Party... Very disturbing but good.

He also did that huge doc on New York which I though was excelent as well.

New York was great. It was Ric and not Ken who did the Donner Party. Around the same time BOTH brothers did documentaries on the western United States. Ric did "The Way West" and Ken did "The West" - both are excellent.
