You could think the same thing about U2 with One, though.

I don't know why WLCTT is pretty unpopular here. I think it's a pretty good song.

PFan, not so keen on that McCartney song. But I guess I like his vocals less than Lennon. The three songs opening Disc 2 do work well together - and lead well into this Elton John song too. Just not my kind of thing.

Now, for piano ballads I like, I Hope I Never and Stuff And Nonsense by Split Enz rule all.

"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Except One does not contain the worst line in recorded history. It's just cliche.

And frankly, post-Pop U2 is poisoning U2 for me.

I think Disc 2, Side A is the weakest quarter of my list. That one I never felt I got right.

Every once in awhile I listen to Behind or Bomb and have to forget everything I know about U2 to enjoy any of it.

Axver's top five studio U2 songs of the 1990s:

1. Acrobat
2. Gone
3. The Fly
4. Slug
5. Zooropa

Omitting Love Is Blindness feels like a crime.

It was so odd. Granted, it was a rough production system at a high school hockey game. And they did play UTEOTW earlier in the game. And it was just a brief snippet of the first verse. But still ... how does that happen?
