and the world cup for baseball is a good idea...instead of the all star game or sometime in the midyear. they can't do it at the beginning of the year and i wouldn't do it at the end of the year, although the end of the year is a better idea injury wise. but the end of the year is when mlb sends players to play in japan for a little bit.

were you guys talking on the phone watching superstation TBS?

LONG before the Cubs had that one good season two years ago...they sucked.

I still like the Cubs...even if they have lost the last seven is it? AND if they are below .500 by two games.

I've liked the Cubs for as long as I can remember baseball. I never was a big fan of baseball really until high school so I missed out on a lot of great players in Cubs history. My favorite of all time though, Mark Grace.

I think we got teased that one year. If you think about it though, we shouldn't complain. It's not like it's different than it used to be. Every year I still say, "This is the year." One year, I'll be right. Until then, Cardinals Suck. hehe.

Patterson and Dubois sent to the minors, could the end be near for Baker?

that 11th inning game winning single just proves why Piazza was selected to the all star game this year.

I'm as big of a Piazza fan as anyone, but in no way does he deserve to make the squad this year.....same goes for Beltran

the Nationals have given up more runs then they have scored, history tells us they can not keep continue winning like this

more than likely they'll end the year around .500 and miss out on the playoffs

It's hard to say. I think other managers would be fired but he is Dusty Baker after all. I'm sure the Tribune Co. doesn't want to eat what's left of his salary.
