Calgary looks like a nice city...reminds me of St. Paul..but with mountains. (which makes it better)

I pictured it a little less "lush" - but that's just me

someone post a pic of edmonton

BTW, I had no idea you ever lived in Vancouver.
I lived in Port Coquitlam... but spent a lot of time in Vancouver proper. Many a places I have lived, many a places I have seen... so I am wise to the workings of the world. Salute me.

Salute me.

*shakes fist*

Oh it's really quite nice.

It was named the cleanest city in the world last year. I don't know what qualifies as clean by their standards... there's some pretty trashy areas.

We also have a large proportion of green areas and Provincial Park land. And it doesn't rain like a bastard here.

You know what I'm talking about Mikey.

LOL!! Actually, Vancouver gets a bad rap for rain. Truth be told, it doesn't rain all the time...just when it does, it really does rain. I have a theory that a Vancouver water droplet is roughly equivalent to one of the great lakes...doesn't matter which one, take your pick.

But the truth is, Vancouver is made up of a dozen or more microsystems...so if it's raining in North Van, it's likely sunny in Kits, and vice versa. Also, if it's raining like a bastard in the morning, just wait 5 minutes for the weather to change...and it's usually blue skies by noon or evening.

The winters are usually in the +15 Celcius range, so one can't complain too much.

And what other city can you golf, snow ski, and sail all in the same day?

Hmmm... my city!

We have a lot of lakes, and the Glenmore reservoir is decent enough to support various water sports. We have the mountains for skiing... although they are closed for the summer, just as they are in the Vancouver area. As for golfing... well let's just say I was golfing early this summer.

Damn Ducks.

Don't you love Canada, Cujo?

Ah, lakes are all well and good, but as for sailing, nothing beats the ocean

Out of all of those cities, I'd have to say Montreal...maybe.

Hey, I'm all for it!!! All of you should come up. Where though? Here's some suggestions: Victoria, Vancouver, Kelowna, Banff, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, St. Johns, or Halifax. All great places. Any others, Cujo?

Pick a place, and we'll throw a house warming for you!
