looking for anti-virus software

What's a good anti-virus program that doesn't nuke your modem? I've had some bad experiences with Norton stuff that screwed up my DSL connection. I also recently had a virus attack! What's the best program?

I have heard good things about Sophos Sweep.
But important! don't install more than one antivirus at the same time, it could slow down your machine drastically

I had Norton Internet Security installed at one point, and it totally screwed up my DSL connection. It's this huge program that really takes it out of your system. So I'm being picky.

Isn't Norton Internet Security a firewall and not an anti-virus program.

I've had great luck with Norton Anti-Virus software.

A lot of them won't install if another is detected.
