I heard Jay and the Doctor on JJJ breakfast last year or the year before, interviewing an American woman who's apparently a world-class vocal coach, specifically in teaching metal vocalists to do the throaty screaming thing without actually damaging their vocal cords. Was pretty impressive stuff!

Ooh, that would have been really interesting. I hate to think how bad doing those vocals are on your vocal chords. I'm surprised some of the older metal musicians still have any voice left.
