Black Dog is not even the best song on IV. :p

Black Dog is friggin awesome lit on fire and sent rocketing into outer space.

And when it comes to drums, Levee > Misty Mountain

Led Zeppelin lll was the forgotten album in the early days. Couldn't compete on the radio with all the blasts from l,ll & lV.

Thundering drums of Levee > Misty

"Fool In The Rain" for drums.

The drums actually play the lead in that tune. They're the equivalent of the guitar in "Streets."

They drive the whole tune.

Best vocal - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Best guitar - Black Dog
Best bass line - Lemon Song  (Achilles Last Stand gets runner-up)
Best drums - Levee

My favorite tracks in no particular order: Rock and Roll, Stairway, Heartbreaker, Good Times, Whole Lotta Love, Lemon Song, How Many More Times, Celebration Day, Immigrant Song, Since I've Been Loving You, Dazed & Confused, No Quarter, Rain Song, The Ocean, Over the Hills, Ten Years, Achilles, Living Loving Maid, Tangerine.............. ah, screw it. They're all great! :)

Going to California, FTMFW.

You just heard "Ten Years Gone" in it's entirety 30 minutes ago.

You really wanna be declaring "FTMFW" with that kind of listening history?

How many other Zep songs have you only heard 1/3rd of?

Dude.

I've been listening to Zeppelin for years, and have listened to every album countless times. Would it be in my jurisdiction to say "Black Dog FTMFW" at this point in time?

As I stated previously, I've got close to 100 Zep tunes on my iPod, so I think I'm well-versed enough to make a claim

Big whoop.

If you haven't listened to them, your 100 tunes don't mean shit.

C'mon dude, you just heard "Ten Years Gone."

You just heard "Ten Years Gone."

You win. I guess I'm just not as big a fan as you are. I'll cede the floor to you, Mr Big Shot

Who cares?

I don't have anything to prove to you anyways.

You're in a Zep thread, and you just listened to "10 Years Gone."

Imagine being in a U2 thread, and just having heard "One Tree Hill."

That's where you are.

Again, you seem to be the only one who cares. Are you going to leave me alone one of these days? Jesus.

And I was in such a good mood earlier, too. :|

I still say Going to California is in their top 5. For a band that's got such a intrinsic connection with hard rock, it's cool that a lot of their best material is their "softer" stuff.

Talk about shit you know about.

Have you heard more than 5 Zep tunes?

I have my doubts.

Why do you presume to know everything about me? And why do you presume you're superior to me because you might listen to more Led Zeppelin than me (which is not likely anyways)?

Grow the fuck up, dude.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with someone who's acting like a six-year old.

Enjoy your ban, I'm sure it'll come quite soon.

But this is a Zep thread. About Led Zeppelin. And their music. I don't think it's insane to think that those voting or posting in this thread will have actually heard their music.
