Interference's Top Ten Bands

Ok I'm curious to know the general music taste of the forum so in this thread everyone who participates should post their top ten favorite bands, in order from 1-10. Once I consider the thread to be dead, i'll tally the results and post the general consensus as to what the top ten bands are. (U2 included)

Scoring:
1=10
2=9
3=8
4=7
5=6
6=5
7=4
8=3
9=2
10=1

My List:
1.The Beatles
2.U2
3.Radiohead
4.The Who
5.The Rolling Stones
6.The Talking Heads
7.Bruce Springsteen
8.Jimi Hendrix
9.Pink Floyd
10.Led Zeppelin

I expect to see U2 and Radiohead pretty much dominating this.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

I have to ask: Do you want us to list bands only, or can we list solo artists, too?

I'm pretty sure you can list solo artists too, esp. if they don't perform with a band. They're people too you know.

Anyway, here goes...

1. U2
2. The Beatles
3. Pearl Jam
4. Tori Amos
5. Pink Floyd
6. Red Hot Chili Peppers
7. Radiohead
8. Oasis
9. REM
10. Depeche Mode

I tried to get a good balance of bands & artists I listen to the most (with last.fm's help) and those I've always respected and loved. RHCP cracked my top 10 finally after Stadium Arcadium. Radiohead would be higher up if there were no Pink Floyd.

3. Queen
4. Echo & The Bunnymen
5. Joy Division
6. Nick Drake
7. The Beatles
8. Muse
9. Red Hot Chili Peppers
10. U2

EDIT: Ooops, mixed up the last two.

1. U2
2. The Arcade Fire
3. Talking Heads
4. David Bowie
5. Elliott Smith
6. The Pixies
7. Third Eye Blind (would be significantly higher, but somehow I doubt they'll be getting too many other votes )
8. The Beatles
9. The Clash
10. XTC

I can never really decide on a top 10, or any real order for that matter. Oh well, this looks good enough.

Edit: Shit, forgot the Beatles. Sorry, Floyd.
