What Midnight Oil stuff do you have? Because if you don't have 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, I highly recommend it.

I haven't got Blue Sky Mine yet. Diesel And Dust's opening trio is absolutely fantastic, but it really drops off after then - I know a lot of people like The Dead Heart but it bores the hell out of me. And at the end of the day, Diesel And Dust doesn't have the amazing five song run that is Short Memory, Read About It, Scream In Blue, US Forces, and Power And The Passion.

The album is actually titled 'Blue Sky Mining' (my bad).

And you must get it Axver Blue Sky Mine, Forgotten Years, King Of The Mountain, River Runs Red, One Country,...

That's my favourite Midnight Oil song, just ahead of Short Memory. Now I'll definitely have to make an effort to get Blue Sky Mining!

Well, this has been an awesome thread! I too have decided to discover new music so I have read this thread carefully.

Thanks to the suggestions made here so far I bought Snow Patrol-Eyes Open and Kasabian-Empire.

Both albums are very good imo

Amen....Kasabian has been one of my favorite finds from this thread.

Listened to Sparta, did not dislike it, but, did not really get into it either.

Regina Spektor, not really my preference.

Liked Gemma Hayes, if I did not yet say that.
