Head exploding FTW.

Let's see Daniel Craig do that.

He was just interesting to me, the character, as opposed to being a caricature. Then again, some of these villians became copied, be it legitimately or for laughs, so maybe they just seem like caricatures.

The way he dies was a fucking riot, yeah.

Also, still no word on the I'm Not There DVD release, which I've been waiting for anxiously for months.

Anyone here still collect DVDs frequently? And if so, which 2007 releases to you foretell purchasing?
I usually hit the used DVD deals, and have already picked up Knocked Up, Hot Fuzz, Live Free or Die Hard, and got Transformers for Christmas (by accident, actually).

I'm gonna try and pick up Sunshine, Darjeeling, Superbad, and No Country. If I love There Will Be Blood, I'll buy it, too.

If you don't love TWBB, you're not going to get a chance to buy too many more DVDs.

It's a no brainer, but I still need to see it first... and not get fucked out of seeing it every week.

If I like The Godfather Part III, I'll end up buying the trilogy set soon, too.

The trilogy set is worth it just to own the first film in the cool packaging.

As far as DVDs of 2007 films go, I'll pick up:

I'm Not There
There Will Be Blood
The Darjeeling Limited

I've already got Superbad and Knocked Up. I'm not really a big DVD buyer though, especially now that I've started buying a lot of vinyl. If I find things in the bargain bin or used, I'll normally snap it up, but there are very few films I'll actually go out and buy new.

It was 40 bucks at Target, I'm sure I can find it cheaper.

Haven't bought anything yet from this year.

Definitely picking up
I'm Not There
TWBB
No Country

Will buy if I can afford
Zodiac Directors Cut
Youth Without Youth
Michael Clayton (very likely)

Will buy if they put out a not-super-shitty DVD
Jesse James

I think I picked it up one day at Best Buy for $30. And I actually liked Part III. So yay.

If the first two are 10s, what would III be?

7? 7.5? 8?

It still implies that I'd have to consider them the same score in order to conjecture a score for the third entry. But I'll give you this.

The Godfather - 10
The Godfather Part II - 9
The Godfather Part III - 7.5
