HEY! I read in a wrestling forum that HHH and his wife were in Boston to see one of the U2's concerts.

I don't like him, but a least he has good taste

Don't you remember the video of Triple HHH broadcast in the WWE after he tore his quad muscle? The music accompanying the video was Beautiful Day by .........U2. He has been a fan for a while.

more reasons to like HHH...

1- he likes GREAT music: Ozzy, U2, his entrance is a great Motorhead song

2 - He's THE GAME!!!... cause he's THAT DAMN GOOD!!!

Hulkamania died in 1996.

I watched Raw for the first time in about 5 months the whole way through & found it vaguely interesting which is always good. I remember when it used to be always entertaining.

The ECW One Night Stand was the best WWE PPV in at least 5 years.

What was the card?

Really? Better than Summerslam 2000, Mania X-7 or 19?

ECW card

1. Lance Storm with Dawn Marie vs Chris "Lionheart" Jericho, great wrestling match with old school Jericho and a visit by the Impact players

2. Elimination 3 Way Dance
Tajiri vs Little Guido with the FBI vs Super Crazy

3.Psychosis vs Rey Mysterio worst match of night

4.Rhyno vs Sabu with Rob Van Dam outside

5. Chris Benoit vs Eddie Guererro

6. Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka

7. Dudley Boys vs Tommy Dreamer & the Sandman

ECW locker room vs WWE locker room with Bischoff getting an asskicking at the end.

This whole card was filled from top to bottom with Holy Shit moments. Those PPVs you mentioned had the fantastic TLC matches which were classics and a couple of great matches involving Benoit, Michaels and Angle but the rest was fast forward fodder. However, if you don't like hardcore wrestling, then you wouldn't have enjoyed this PPV.

Austin's best matches were against Bret Hart. The Undertaker's best matches were against Mick Foley and his cage match vs Lesnar. The Rock, Hogan and the McMahon's are just names and basically repeat themselves match after match after match.

Ace, thanks for the card. I may check it out when it comes out on DVD.

Austin's best matches IMO were vs Bret although X-7 was an amazing performance (not just from a mark point of view, the pshycology and references to other matches was amazing).

Taker seemed to be incredibly inconsistent, he would have amazing performances at random times (like the No Mercy HIAC that you mentioned) but would completely suck when it totally mattered (Fully Loaded, most Mania's, vs Kane etc etc).

The Rock started out repetitious (look at the 98 Rumble for the best example - 7 peoples elbows before anyone cared). He started getting very good very quickly after the Rock & Sock connection. He carried the Fatal 4-Way at Mania & eventually was the best worker in the company (bar Jericho) by the end of 2000. I sometimes really don't understand the hate on Rock. And even when his wrestling did suck... he was damn entertaining.

I forgot about Rock's matches with Mick but he was entertaining. I thought he was a modern version of Hogan. When he pinned guys after landing the elbow, it was just sad. I like some innovation from time to time but most wrestlers are so repetitive. Triple H was exciting for a short time and now he has fallen into a rut too.
