Not really. I enjoyed Murmur, no other thoughts.

The first song is another winner. Really good guitar here.

What's the first song on Reckoning? Is it Harbourcoat? I can't remember anything about that album right now, except that I enjoy most of it.

Harborcoat is the lead track.

The second song is 7 Chinese Bros.

1. So. Central Rain
2. Harborcoat
3. 7 Chinese Bros.

But like the first album, they're all close.

Ah yes, right.

Murmur is my favourite REM album, but yeah, Reckoning is quality. Though I know bugger all about what they've done since Automatic For the People.

I'm going in order right now.

My four favorite tracks off Murmur are Radio Free Europe, Pilgramage, Sitting Still, and 9-9.

I really am the only person on earth who doesn't rate Murmur, aren't I?

And I really need to listen to more of their post-Automatic stuff.

Why don't you rate it? There are so many solid songs in it - Pilgrimage, Catapult, Perfect Circle, Laughing, RFE - great album.

I have no interest in their post-Automatic work, to be honest. Actually, I sort of like What's the Frequency Kenneth?, but I'm not mad for it. There's probably some decent work there, but they don't appeal to me as much anymore.

So. Central Rain/Pretty Persuasion/Time After Time is my favourite part of Reckoning.

On a somewhat different note, I've been listening to Joy Division over the last hour, and I really don't get why Unknown Pleasures isn't rated as much as Closer. New Dawn Fades is one of the most stunningly powerful songs anybody's ever recorded. Absolute classic and intense stuff.

Just occurred to me that I may as well have said "There are so many solid songs in it - One, Ultraviolet, So Cruel, WGRYWH, TTTYAATW" of Achtung Baby to you. You know, different strokes and such.

(Though my opinion would be similar to yours of AB).
