well when Ken had his place, he had lots of canned stuff (like chef boyardee) and lots of frozen pizzas, hotdogs. you'd open the fridge and see ketchup, mustard and relish. and diet Pepsi. and he had practically NO real dishes. everything was plastic...silverware, cups, plates, bowls. I had to buy myself a bowl at target when I wanted cereal and real food.

Steve made me spaghetti tonight. When he was away in grad school, he'd come home and the fridge would pretty much be empty. Now that he's home again, it's full.

I cook every night. It's cheaper to cook for myself than to eat out.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

I pack my own lunch every morning. I avoid school cafeteria food at all costs. It can be really yummy but it's so bad for you.

My mother cooks dinner every night, and we have chinese/japanese/indian take-out every 2-3 weeks on the weekends.

My parents are health-freaks.

Cook at home 3-4 days a week, order pizza on Sundays and eat elsewhere the other day!

I almost always cook dinner. Don't really get take-out often - if I'm not cooking, it's because I'm eating out at a restaurant. I also make breakfast at home and probably make lunch at home 50% of the time.

I generally try to cook enough food so I can have dinner and take leftovers to work. I hate sandwiches and things like that, and while I hate cooking, it saves a whole lot of money when you buy yourself a pound of lentils for 69 cents and it lasts you forever. Great meal too.

We really only have take out/ go out for dinner once or MAYBE twice a week - most other nights I cook, or if I'm working, hubby will cook himself something.
I don't mind cooking, and think its a waste of money to get take away every night.
Not to mention the health benefits of knowing what is actually going into your body!!
