I couldn't even tell you. I just read the post back to myself and remembered, "Wait, I've never played a Gibson."

I used to own a Gibson SG, and now I own a Fender Telecaster. I love high-end guitars.

I'm still on my first, cheap guitar. It's a Mexican Strat.

Anyway, I bet it was a Rickenbakker. Those have some sweet tone. Oh yeah, and I just looked up Hamels. He looks pretty darn good. But Felix is a few years younger and has more experience in the majors.

I don't really like Strats myself. Is it a Squier?

Hamels probably is similar in talent, but older and more injury prone.

Rickenbacker most likely. The Strat was the only thing close to my price range, though. I got it on sale for $300.

My amp is a 25 watt Ibanez ... something. I got it for free through my dad's friend's connection there. Not sure of its quality. I think it has trouble picking up the high E string sound on my guitar. Not sure if that's the guitar or the amp.

I'm not that cheap. It's a Fender.

EDIT: I should have said American league. I don't pay much attention to the National league.
No Johan Santana is still the best pitcher in baseball.

I still think Ra by Utopia is the best produced album. It is simply beautiful.

My first two guitars I bought at the same time: an Epiphone Les Paul ($450) and a Canadian brand called Series A which looks like a Gibson 335 ($300). Then I traded them both in to buy an SG. Then I sold my SG and paid a bit more to get my Fender.

As for my amp, I play through a Rivera M100 100watt 1x12 amp with a matching Rivera 4x10 speaker cabinet. Rivera is a very, very unknown brand, but it's very high end (if I went to my local boutique music store, I could buy that stuff new for about $3500). It's two channels and one channel sounds like a Fender amp (it's a lot cleaner) whereas the other channel sounds like a Marshall (a bit dirtier). Both channels have pull-gain which means I could distort the fuck out of them if I wanted to, but I chose to play a bit cleaner. Actually, my tone is very similar to the tone of the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club song from my playlist when on the Marshall-sounding channel, and like the Starflyer 59 song on the Fender-sounding channel.

Not so far. Hamels is actually much better, stats-wise.

My amp's basic tone is similar to Mick Ronson's tone live on the Ziggy Stardust Tour.

I've no effects pedals as of now. Nor do I have an acoustic guitar.

I don't have an acoustic guitar. But I do have some pedals. I've got the Digitech DL4 delay pedal (it's got 3 programmable settings and a tap-tempo), the most useful pedal ever (Boss Tu-2--look it up), and then I have a distortion and an octaver that I never, ever use.

Johan Satana is far more consistent a pitcher than anyone in baseball. It isn't about stats, it is about consistent ability to win games. I know what I'm going to get with every outing from Santana.
