Is this that one I saw a really long time ago with those people playing the instruments against a black background or something like that, and the people were really stretched out and stuff?

LOL, that would be the one for "Don't Come Around Here No More". I remember Tom saying in a "Behind The Music" episode that the band were doing some serious drugs at that time, so that would explain things :p (seriously, bands have a habit of doing that-"You know, such-and-such story isn't twisted enough, let's make it even more twisted!" :p. That was how it was today-I saw a video from Greg Kihn for his song "Reunited", and it was a really weird take on "The Wizard Of Oz". It was funny, but very, very strange).

On the topic of disturbing videos...I've seen a couple of Aphex Twin videos that were pretty fucked up, and Tool's "Sober" is rather creepy, too. And then there was Prodigy's "Smack My B!tch Up"...that one was weird, too.

Don't watch too many music videos (product of the videoless generation -- what do you expect?) but I like The Cure's "Close to Me" and Peter Gabriel's "Games Without Frontiers" for a start...

U2- Please
Duran Duran - Rio
Talk Talk - Talk Talk
Police - Every Breath You Take
Pink Floyd - The Wall
David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes
The Cure - Close To Me (or Love Cats or Why Can't I Be You)

typically, i'm not a big video fan. i find most videos to be uninspired, self-indulgent fluff. my favourites, off the top of my head (and partially inspired by the previous responses):

u2 - streets
pearl jam - do the evolution
beastie boys - sabotage
david bowie and trent - i'm afraid of americans
the cure - love cats
fatboy slim - weapon of choice
radiohead - no surprises

videos that were just fun and happy:

b-52s - love shack
dee-lite - groove is in the heart

i did also rather enjoy weird al's 'smells like nirvana'

David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes

The thing that I find interesting about this video...it's filmed in a really odd manner. The colors are all funky and everything. Good mention (like the others in your list, too).
