What's the deal with the whole Waters-Gilmour thing?

Put simply, Gilmour has all the talent while Waters thinks he does. No, that's sarcasm. I think both of them need each other to produce the best music; the material from Waters-led PF and Gilmour-led PF and their respective solo careers can't compare to the heyday when they didn't hate each other.

But you prefer Gilmour?

I've only been listening, really, so I don't know which vocalist is which or who writes the songs. I was hoping to finish listening to most of their stuff before reading about it.

ahhh i see. that still sounds sucky; i hope she's okay.

he's doing okay i guess, i couldn't visit him since i was at work today, but my mom went and said he was okay, just all doped up. thanks for asking :)

Yeah, she should be - it's meant to be a routine outpatient procedure. I expect to hear from her in about 3 hours.

And I remember when I went to see my mother after her first pancreatitis attack and she was high on morphine - that brought the lulz!

all i know about waters is i think he's ugly :reject:

is that superficial? yes.

Gilmour's the ugly one these days. Now there's a guy who hasn't aged well.

 yeah, i love when people (including me) are on iv drips. life is so much more hilarious when you're doped up on painkillers or when you're talking to someone who is :giggle:

Isn't there some kind of dispute between them? And aren't fans pretty split on them too?

Roger didn't want the band to go on as Pink Floyd after he left. David went on anyways. There has always been friction between the two of them. Roger is a dreamer. Dave is just a regular guy. The fans want them to reunite so they blame one or the other for why they haven't. That is why fans are split.

Yeah, I prefer Gilmour. Waters dumped the Wall and Final Cut turds on us, and his solo album Radio KAOS is abysmal. Gilmour, on the other hand, at least managed to have Sorrow on AMLOR and the Division Bell is actually pretty good, and the solo album On An Island is listenable albeit unremarkable.

Don't barfsmilie grits unless you've actually had proper grits. All piled in a bowl, covered in salt and melted butter, mmm.
lol, that's how i've had them. there was a place downtown that specialised in them, and said if you hated grits, to come there and they'd make you love them. they made my ex love them, but i never got around to going. when i went downtown last time, i noticed they'd closed. oops!

Did somebody mention grits?

Grits sound unappealling just based on their name.

I have been told what they actually are, but I forget. All I need to know is they're a Southern US thing.

This is the split between fans, Pfan. I think Waters had the talent. He had the great ideas. Gilmour just played guitar. You loved DSOTM, well most of the great ideas there were Waters. Though like Axver said their best was when they weren't fighting.

ugh. i just looked at the pic of him on his wikipedia page. ewww. k, so they're BOTH ugly.

:lmao:

Tim, fuck no. Neil has.

But here's the big question. Who's aged better: Fat Bono or Not-quite-so-fat Tour Bono?

you know what i'd rather have covered in butter and salt? MASHED POTATOES.

preferably the ones i make  :combust: i seriously make fucking awesome mashed potatoes. not that it's hard, but still.

Let's face it: Nick Mason > Waters and Gilmour.

/sarcasm, but Summer '68 for the win.

Bono kindly asks you to look at this photo showing that no matter how fat he gets, he'll still do better with the ladies than you.

Speaking of the Finns, the way I found out about Crowded House was in the Stephen King movie The Stand.

If I ever get a foreigner over here, I'm gonna make sure they have a proper southern breakfast. Grits, biscuits (which are not scones), sausage gravy, fried eggs and greasy sausage.

It'll give you heart disease, but it's worth it.
