Hey Superthread

I saw something on a last.fm forum that I'm thinking might be a cool idea to bring over to JTBATC, basically it's a kind of Music Artist/Band League. Kind of in the style of a football league where bands are put into groups/leagues and they play "matches" against each other. Where everyone gives a result for each match based on which band they prefer and then in the end, everyone's votes are added up to come up with a final score for each "match"; and through all that we get a league standing etc. with bands getting relegated and promoted to and from lower levels.

I know I described it awfully but anyone think that if we started it up over here it might get some interest?

I'm pretty sure DaveC did something similar a while back, but that was ages ago.

Yeah if it got some interest I'd be willing to do it and set it up and all that

The way it was done over on last.fm was people gave a list of their 5/10 favourite bands and the ones with the most appearances made it into the higher leagues and the ones who featured the least would make up the lower leagues.

So if we could get a decent number of people interested in doing it on here it'd be awesome I think

Well anyway I think I'm gonna get a few hours sleep (for once) but I'm seriously considering doing that Band League and at least seeing if I can get it going. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for it, I'd appreciate them.
