11 minutes on hold I hate calling AOL or any phone system run company for help.

yeah, and the 'let me talk to your Dad' comment was so uncalled for and rude.

CANCEL THE ACCOUNT!

I've cancelled an AOL account, and I know how difficult it is. But this takes the brass cigar.

AOL has got to be one of the worst ones to call

Gotta agree though and say the dad comment was pretty funny

Wow

Some of the stories that people have posted on his site

Quote:
I explained that my mother passed away, and that I wanted to cancel her service. Their first question was “why are you cancelling?” I had to repeat: because she was dead. Again, not a hint of sympathy. The next question from them was “would you like to keep the account?” I said “What is it about dead you don’t understand?” They said, well maybe you want to use her screen name. I asked “is that so I can scare people who think she’s departed?”

I have to cancel my AOL account. I'm hoping it's going to be really easy now.

I've just left AOL. Cancelling the account was the easy bit...getting them to stop taking money from my bank account has proven more difficult. AOFuckingHell
