The second one looks like a giant spider eating my car

It's an orb weaver of some sort. Probably a barn spider (though I don't know if their range extends that far west ) or something else in the Eriophora genus.

Holy Crap! I have those damn big brown spiders in my back yard. What the hell are they? Their webs are huge and the spiders are so EVIL looking

There are spiders like that back home in the gulf cost region of Texas. We use to call them banana spiders, why I don't know. Those suckers who get huge. I hated running into those while mowing the lawn.

That's definitely it. I can't believe someone is freaked out over those things. I see probably hundreds of them a year, and they've been a regular appearance since my childhood. In fact, this time of year, they start clumping in random places near the house.

If they were just chilling out on the sides of the house, I'd be fine. But I don't like them falling in my hair...down my shirt...and getting into the house when I open the door.
